It's unbelievable/shameful/disgusting that officials/authorities/individuals in power would abuse their positions/take bribes/engage in such unethical behavior. {It made it difficult to/It was frustrating because/I felt helpless when I {tried to do business/navigate the system/enjoy myself and was constantly met with demands/faced obstacles/dealt unfair treatment.

Our recent experience at this establishment was absolutely disappointing. First, the bathroom were in a disgusting state with leaks all over the floor. It caused the entire place reek of dampness. To add insult to injury, the service was even more appalling. The staff was rude and appeared utterly disinterested in helping to our needs. We certainly won't be returning anytime soon.
